Galicia’s Digital Health in the NGEU 2021 Context – Cluster Saúde de Galicia (CSG)

Alberto Fuentes Losada, General Secretary of the Galician Ministry of Health, presented the strategic healthcare projects, for which an investment of more than €1000M is planned to begin at the end of 2021:

Research into pioneering treatments.
Health and biomedical research development.
Digital transformation.
Diagnosis and surgical equipment modernization.
Investment in hospital, primary health and mental health infrastructures.

Galicia seeks to create an “e-health area” which will centralize the provision of digital services and the access to AI, 5G and IoT tools to support clinical decision-making and augmented reality to professional training.

Innovative public procurement is planned to be used in tenders to be published by the end of 2021.
